1. Does Ed Hoy’s sell to the public?

Yes, we have a large supply of glass and glass supplies available to retail customers, online & in our store located in Warrenville, IL., in addition to offering exceptional wholesale pricing to our customers with a glass business.

2. In order to purchase wholesale from Ed Hoy’s do I have to own a retail store?

No, Ed Hoy’s sells to glass businesses, not just “brick and mortar” businesses. Please see our wholesale qualifications for more information.

3. Sheet Glass:

Our glass is sold by the square foot (sq.ft.), each, or pound depending on the manufacturer and is priced in those units of measure.

Order by the SQFT Example: Wissmach full sheets are sold by the square foot and the full sheet is 9.33 sq.ft.

To order a full sheet of Wissmach Amber and White Wispy (WI145SPL), choose "Full Sheet (9.33 sqft)" from the dropdown and enter the corresponding square footage of 9.33 in the quantity field. An incorrect entry would be 1 or 2. Multiple sheets would be multiples of the indicated sq.ft. size.

Example: 2 sheets would be 18.66 in the quantity field (9.33 x 2 = 18.66)

 

Order by the EACH Example: Bullseye full sheets are sold by the each.

To order a full sheet of Bullseye Tomato Red Double Rolled (BE002430F), choose "Full Sheet (20" x 35")" from the dropdown and enter the quantity of sheets you would like in the quantity field. 

Example: 3 sheets would be 3 in the quantity field.

 

Order by the LB Example: Lustres glass is sold by the pound and a full sheet is approximately 1.5 lb.

To order a full sheet of Lustres Green Opal, Gold Finish (LUS013111), enter the corresponding weight of 1.5 in the quantity field. An incorrect entry would be 1 or 2. Multiple sheets would be multiples of the indicated weight. 

Example: 2 sheets would be 3 in the quantity field. (1.5 x 2 = 3)

 

Ordering Glass Cut Sheets: Glass is also sold by the smaller cut piece and the size of the piece is indicated at the end of the part number.

Example:

OGT1009SF12x12 is (1) square foot Oceanside smooth black, sold by the each. A quantity of 1 or 2 would be correct if you wanted 1 or 2 12x12’s of that color.

4. Can I pick my own glass from the warehouse?

All current WHOLESALE customers are welcome to browse our warehouse to hand-select their glass. To serve you best, please provide 24 hrs. notice for will-calls. There is a $75 minimum for all will call orders. A fee of $7.50 will be applied to all orders below $75.

Appointments are currently required for all Will Call pickups, including hand-picking glass. Please contact us to schedule an appointment today!

At this time our warehouse is not open to the public.

5. What are my options for shipping my glass order?

UPS is the best option for smaller pieces of glass and smaller supply orders.

Small UPS Glass Box

  • Holds 1 – 12 Cut 12″ x 12″ Sheets (Size is dependent upon manufacturer.)
  • $15/ Carton Packing Fee

GlassBox24

  • Holds 6 - 24″ x 24″ pieces of glass
  • $45.75/ carton. $15 refunded if returned with all elements in good condition. Please submit an RMA request for returning the box.

UPS Oversized & Long Box Fees

Unfortunately, UPS has surcharges for boxes over 50 lbs and long box charges for lead and zinc.

Boxes over 50lbs will be charged an additional $20

Long boxes for lead and zinc will be charged an additional $15

Is my order Insured?

Please consider your needs when choosing a shipping method for your glass.

  • UPS is insured
  • Prepaid motor freight is 
  • USPS is NOT insured. Unfortunately, we can not be responsible for USPS shipping results.

This website contains material which is owned by or licensed to us. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions. Despite our best efforts a small number of items in our catalog may be mispriced. If we make a mistake our staff will contact with correct pricing before shipment proceeds. Ed Hoy's is not responsible for parcels delayed for reasons beyond our control, including but not limited to: Customs, strikes, natural disasters, fires, epidemics, weather or failure of communications networks. Ed Hoy's reserves the right to end sales early or reject use of promotional codes. We are happy to accept returns of items as long as the item is in its original packing, not damaged or altered. Our return policy requires an RMA number before returning any items and within 30 days of the date of purchase. Restocking fee is 25% and shipping is not refundable. Customers are responsible for all taxes, customs fees or any additional shipping services added to a shipment post leaving our warehouse. Ed Hoy's reserves the right to adjust shipping estimations to actual shipping charges at the time of invoice. Ed Hoy's may update these terms from time to time and will contact customer via email with notice upon changes. By accepting these terms you agree that when you submit an order with Ed Hoy's you are accepting that Ed Hoy's will pre-authorize your credit card for the amount of products and estimated shipping.

8. How to obtain the RMA number

  1. Fill out the Form HERE with the items you would like to return.
  2. You will receive an email with your RMA # and further instructions regarding shipping your items to us.
  3. Include RMA inside the package and mail to:

9. Returns

Our goal is to please! We will accept returns and refund you through your method of payment within 30 days of purchase. All items must be returned in good, unopened condition and require a Return Authorization number (RMA). Restocking fees may apply. Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns of glass, books/DVDs, lead, chemicals, opened items or special-order items.

10. Special Orders

Special orders are welcomed for any of the manufacturers that we currently have relationships with. Special orders are non-refundable (all sales are final, no returns) and may be subject to minimums. Please contact info@edhoy.com for specific details.

11. How do I place a Wholesale Will-Call Order?

Please call to schedule Wholesale Will-Call appointments at least 24 hours in advance. The time of appointment is the actual scheduled load time. Allow additional time for hand picking glass and final paperwork completion.

All Will-Call orders are required to meet a $75 minimum. A fee of $7.50 will be applied to all orders below $75.

Will Call Procedures

Monday – Friday | 8am – 2pm
Scheduled time-frames will be 1.5 hours total. 60 minutes for hand selection of glass, 30 minutes for invoicing and load time. Invoices will be emailed. If you need additional time, double booking will be allowed. Please contact your Sales Representative for details.

Example:
8am scheduled arrival time
9:00am shopping complete and loaded by 9:30am 

Will Call Procedure – Please read carefully:

  1. Place order via online (select “In-Store Pickup”) or place a phone order. Orders will be final 48 hours in advance of scheduled pickup time and invoiced. Add-ons will not be available at the time of pickup.
  2. You will be contacted by sales staff to finalize the order and schedule a pickup time. No walk-ins will be available.
  3. Supply orders must be finalized within 48 hours of your scheduled arrival time. Glass may be hand-picked if you schedule the proper appointment time. All transactions will be credit card or net terms only, no cash or checks please.
  4. Please pull up to our normal Will Call dock in back of the building. Ring the bell to notify our staff of your arrival so they can assist you. Please do not come up to the front office, call if you have questions or need to give our staff payment information.
  5. Your items will be available at the overhead Will Call dock for loading. 
  6. Contactless pickup is available if you prefer, please notify our sales staff when scheduling your appointment.

Please Note:

  • Customers will not be allowed in the office area or breakroom. Sorry!
  • If you require a sheet to be cut please arrange with your Sales Representative during scheduling. Please do not use our equipment or cutting tables.
  • If you happen to miss your scheduled time, please contact us to re-schedule for the next available time. No add-ons will be available at the time of pick up. Please ensure your order is complete 48 hours in advance of your scheduled pick up time.

Apparel Requirements:

  • Long pants, closed toe shoes and sleeved shirts are required in the warehouse to ensure your safety and the safety of those around you.
  • Safety glasses and gloves are required if you will be hand picking glass.

12. Can I pick up my order at your location?

YES! Please place your order ahead of time and specify in the order notes when you would like to pick it up. Please allow 24 hours for your order to be processed. 

Wholesale Will Call Pickups must be scheduled 24 hours in advance and all supply items must be ordered ahead of time. Hand-picking appointments are available throughout the day. Contact your sales specialist to learn more.

13. Where are my wholesale prices?

We customize pricing and offer special discounts to customers based on annual purchases. All prices shown online are retail. Wholesale customers, please sign in to see your price. 14. Packaging for Sheet Glass:

Transporting full sheets of glass requires a truck for shipping. If you prefer your glass not be cut, we will gladly crate your glass and ship it via motor freight. Be sure to choose LTL/Freight as your shipping method if you are placing a truck order online. Because of our extensive network and Midwest location, Ed Hoy’s continuously negotiates the best shipping rates possible and passes those savings onto you.

15. Payment Options

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards are accepted. Net 30 and COD terms may be offered to those wholesale customers that qualify. Please inquire.

17. Does Ed Hoy’s offer Open Studio?

Yes, Ed Hoy’s offers Open Studio a few times each month depending on our class schedule. No techniques are taught during Open Studio; therefore, you must have the knowledge and skills necessary to complete your project. Please visit our Open Studio page for details on project options and classroom usage.

18. Damaged Merchandise

If you receive damaged merchandise, please notify receiving@edhoy.com immediately. Please include your daytime phone, shipping address and photos. We will respond within 48-business hrs. with next steps.

  • USPS Damaged merchandise should be reported by you. You should process all USPS claims.
  • UPS deliveries – We will file a claim with the carrier and reimburse you for the lost material.
  • Motor Freight/Truck Shipments/LTL– Please refer to your order confirmation email for detailed instructions. IMPORTANT! Inspect for concealed damage before signing.

Please Note:

  • If no exception is noted on the delivery receipt, we will not be able to file a claim for you.
  • All claims must include an invoice number and details of damaged or missing product.
  • Photos are required.
  • All claims must be submitted within 30 days of invoice.

19. Image Accuracy:

 We do our best to provide accurate images of all of our products. Due to the handmade nature of glass, color and color mixes can vary from shipment to shipment.

20. What if an Item is Out of Stock?

Our goal is to have what you need when you need it but unfortunately at times we will be out of stock on some items for multiple reasons. Back orders will be taken for items that are out of stock. Customers will be contacted once the item is received in our warehouse.
